Coffee Stain Studios has announced Satisfactory: Core Values, the first paid DLC for its factory-building game. Revealed around The Big Break Showcase on September 29, 2026, the major expansion takes players beneath the surface of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b and into the planet's crust.
Core Values adds a different underground setting with new resources, flora and fauna. Players will also be able to build an underground factory network using new production lines and buildings.
Coffee Stain says travelling deeper underground will reveal more about Satisfactory's world, although it has not shared much more about that side of the expansion yet.
Satisfactory is going underground
Most of Satisfactory's factory building takes place across the surface of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b. Core Values expands that underground, giving players another area to explore and build in rather than keeping every production line above ground.
The confirmed additions include new resources, buildings and production lines, alongside new plant and animal life found below the surface.
There are still plenty of unanswered questions. Coffee Stain has not detailed the size of the underground area, named the new resources or explained how the new areas will connect to existing factories and saves.
The reveal trailer gives an early look at Core Values, but Coffee Stain has not confirmed every machine, resource or creature visible in it. For now, the studio's announcement is deliberately broader about what players will find underground.
Satisfactory's first paid DLC
Satisfactory left Early Access with its 1.0 release in September 2024. Coffee Stain has continued updating the game since then, including the free Update 1.1 and Update 1.2 releases.
Core Values changes that model by becoming Satisfactory's first paid DLC. Coffee Stain describes it as a "major expansion", with the underground setting and its new production systems forming the main addition announced so far.
The base game will be required to play Core Values.
No release date or price yet
Coffee Stain has not announced a release date for Satisfactory: Core Values. Its Steam store page currently lists the release date as "To be announced", and the DLC can already be added to a wishlist.
There is no confirmed price either.
Coffee Stain's announcement also includes a "COMING SOON" message for console information, but it does not provide specific console release details yet.
