Terms of Service

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Using recap.games

These terms cover recap.games, including the website, accounts, supporter subscriptions and the recap.games Discord bot. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.

What recap.games is

recap.games collects gaming showcases, announcements, trailers and release dates in one place. Browsing the site, saving games, following updates and using the bot's free commands do not require payment.

We work to keep the information accurate and mark what is confirmed and what is not. Release dates, lineups and schedules are set by publishers and organisers and can change, so please check official sources before you rely on a date, such as when buying a game or planning around a stream. The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it is always available or error free.

Accounts

You can use most of recap.games without an account. An account lets you save games, follow updates and manage settings.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can ask us to delete your account at [email protected], and we may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

Supporter subscriptions

Supporting recap.games is optional. A subscription costs £2.99 a month, or £25.00 a year, as shown on the support page before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same interval until you cancel.

Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the support page or Settings, which opens Stripe. Cancelling stops future payments. It does not remove your account, saved games or follows, and it does not change what you can use on the site, because supporters get the same features as everyone else.

Payments already made are not refundable unless the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake or something went wrong, email us and we will look into it.

The Discord bot

The bot is a separate way to use recap.games inside Discord. You must also follow Discord's own terms and community guidelines. Server owners and admins are responsible for how the bot is set up in their server, including which channels receive posts.

The bot's core commands and automatic channel updates are free. Any optional paid extras are bought and managed through Discord, not through the website, and website supporter subscriptions do not unlock them. We may change or remove bot features, and we may stop the bot posting to a server that misuses it.

Suggestions and messages you send us

When you suggest a game, correction or showcase, or write to us, you give us permission to use what you send to improve recap.games. We review suggestions before anything is published and may edit, combine or decline them. Please only send content you have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • attack, overload or probe the service, or try to get around rate limits and other protections
  • use automated tools to copy the site in bulk or to flood forms, suggestions or sign-ups
  • use the service for anything unlawful or to harass other people
  • try to access accounts or data that are not yours

Developers who want data from recap.games can get in touch first.

Content and links

Game names, artwork, trailers and logos belong to their owners and appear on recap.games to identify and describe their games. The recap.games name, design and our own writing belong to us. You may share links and short quotes with credit.

Some links lead to stores or other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or terms. Some store links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, recap.games is not liable for losses that result from relying on information on the site, from the service being unavailable, or from third-party services such as Discord, Stripe or the stores we link to. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms, and we will change the date above when we do. If a change is significant we will say so on the site. Continuing to use recap.games after a change means you accept the new terms. We can change or stop parts of the service, and you can stop using it whenever you like.
