Battlefield 6 and Valor Mortis join Xbox Game Pass on October 13, 2026, following an October 7 lineup announcement from Xbox. Forever Ago, Echo Weaver and Neon Abyss 2 arrived on October 8, with more additions due before the middle of the month.

The useful distinction is which subscription you have. Xbox lists Battlefield 6 and Valor Mortis for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Neon Abyss 2 also includes Game Pass Premium. Check the official October Game Pass announcement against your plan before building a download queue.

Confirmed October Game Pass dates

Three additions are available as of October 10:

  • October 8: Echo Weaver, Forever Ago and Neon Abyss 2.

The remaining announced arrivals are:

  • October 13: Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis.
  • October 15: Bluey's Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts.
  • October 16: Beyond These Stars, listed for PC.

Xbox's October 12 to 16 release guide separately confirms the upcoming dates for Deep Dish Dungeon, Valor Mortis, Bluey's Happy Snaps, Chained Beasts and Beyond These Stars. These are future arrivals, so an announced date should not be mistaken for access already being live.

Battlefield 6's listing includes cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Its entry also describes EA Play deployment and seasonal rewards. It is an addition to the subscription library, while Valor Mortis is explicitly listed as a day-one Game Pass release.

Valor Mortis puts soulslike combat in first person

Developed by One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner, Valor Mortis follows William, a soldier from Napoleon's army who returns from the grave. A plague has transformed the Europe he wakes up in, and his resurrection gives him supernatural powers.

The official Steam listing describes combat built around parries, dashes and finishers. Different weapons and supernatural abilities shape how you fight, while movement also helps you find environmental secrets. The setting combines alternate 19th-century history with horror.

That makes it a different proposition from a conventional military shooter, despite sharing an October 13 subscription date with Battlefield 6. Players looking for close-range timing and difficult encounters have a separate option in the same batch.

PC players should check the requirements before launch. Steam lists 16GB of RAM and 60GB of storage, with an SSD required. Its stated minimum performance target is 30fps at 1080p on low settings with upscaling, rather than a promise of native-resolution performance.

Forever Ago is ready to play now

If you want something slower before October 13, Forever Ago has already launched. Publisher Annapurna Interactive confirms its October 8 release and identifies Third Shift as its developer.

You play Alfred on a journey north after a personal tragedy. Exploring locations and meeting people drive the single-player adventure, while his instant camera records memories and helps solve small environmental puzzles. The story also revisits his relationship with Audrey.

Annapurna lists PC, PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 purchase options. Those store links describe where the game is sold; Game Pass access applies through the supported Xbox and PC subscription routes. A Switch or PlayStation listing does not mean that a Game Pass subscription unlocks that version.

Co-op dungeons, chained gladiators and a space-whale city

Xbox's upcoming release guide describes Deep Dish Dungeon as an exploration game you can play alone or with up to two friends. You gather materials, improve a campsite and cook meals during the journey.

Chained Beasts supports one to four players in gladiator battles, with the group physically chained together. Bluey's Happy Snaps offers a gentler alternative, using photography and a scrapbook in an adventure that supports a second player.

Beyond These Stars shifts to city building on the back of Kewa, a space whale. Its Game Pass entry is PC-only, an important limitation for anyone choosing what to install on a console.

Games leaving Game Pass on October 15

Xbox lists these departures for October 15:

  • A Plague Tale: Requiem
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
  • Crime Scene Cleaner
  • Donut County
  • Evil West
  • Nova Roma, Game Preview
  • Pacific Drive
  • Superball
  • The Casting of Frank Stone

If you are partway through one of them, that deadline may matter more than the new arrivals. Refer to the official lineup and departure notice for the platform listing attached to each title.
