Emberville will miss its planned October 27 Early Access launch, while Where Winds Meet has set November 13 for its anniversary update and new Hutuo region. Funcom has also confirmed that Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced are coming to PS5 in early 2027.
Those announcements lead our roundup of gaming news from October 26 and 27, 2026, checked up to 17:04 GMT on October 27. This is the week so far, with upcoming releases and updates described by their announced dates.
Emberville moves to January after demo feedback
Cygnus Cross has delayed Emberville's Early Access release to January 7, 2027, announcing the change on October 26, one day before its planned launch. The developer says feedback from the Steam Next Fest demo prompted improvements that it could not finish in the remaining time.
Bow combat is one example. The team describes the work as a change to the game's systems, rather than a fix it could make before release. It now plans to include essential improvements in the January launch build, then continue with updates throughout Early Access.
For anyone who had October 27 marked down, January 7 is the new date for the unfinished Early Access version. It is not a full-release date.
Emberville combines action-RPG combat with rebuilding a ruined town. You explore the underground Vitromotus, rescue people and learn their trades as they help restore the settlement. The Steam page still offers a demo download, so there is a way to try it while waiting.
Where Winds Meet dates Hutuo and its anniversary update
Where Winds Meet's October 27 announcement puts Hutuo's arrival on November 13, alongside the first global anniversary update. The new region takes players to a war-torn frontier, with the battle at Zhongdu Bridge central to a story about protecting civilians and conflicting loyalties.
The anniversary update also adds Horse Racing Chess and Jianghu Tactics. PlayStation players are promised technical improvements, including upgraded reflections and enhanced PSSR on PS5 Pro, plus changes to haptics, responsiveness and asset streaming.
There are two later dates to keep separate. A first-anniversary broadcast on November 2 will offer more developer information and gameplay. The Dual Spears Martial Art, directed and choreographed by action director Yuen Woo-ping, follows in late November.
That combat style switches between Light Spears for offence and Heavy Spears for breaking stances, with a Spear Stance mechanic used to build combos. It is part of the wider anniversary plans, but it is not announced for the same day as Hutuo.
Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced head to PS5
Funcom announced two PS5 releases on October 27, both targeting early 2027. Exact dates will follow.
Aloft is a co-op sandbox survival game where floating islands can become skyships. Its console debut includes the updates released during PC Early Access and the 1.0 experience. Players can build a home in the clouds, look after animals and restore ecosystems affected by fungal corruption.
Conan Exiles Enhanced has a different offer for existing owners. Players who own Conan Exiles on PlayStation will receive the PS5 Enhanced version free. Funcom says purchased Bazaar items and DLC carry over, and buying either the PS4 or PS5 version also grants the other.
The upgrade changes environments, characters, lighting and effects, and adds a redesigned interface alongside performance and quality-of-life improvements. The Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc will be included at the console launch.
Isle of Siptah remains a separate purchase. The announcement describes a more seamless experience exploring it and the Exiled Lands, but does not make that expansion free.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion adds a repeatable Castle Doom siege
Tribute Games used its October 26 developer breakdown to explain The Siege of Castle Doom, the second Marvel Cosmic Invasion DLC, arriving November 10. Doctor Doom and Invisible Woman join as playable characters, alongside a mode built around repeated runs through Doomstadt.
Players choose themed doors to shape their route. Some lead to equipment or healing, while others change the rules of an encounter or offer temporary power-ups. Victories provide batteries for Reed Richards' Stabilizer, while defeats help fill Doom's Siege Gauge.
Those competing gauges give the fighting a wider objective. You need to gather resources and improve your team's chances before Doom's machine becomes too powerful.
Each hero also has separate offensive, defensive and tactical perk branches. Reaching Reed's lab lets players unlock more equipment, events and modifiers, and completing a run unlocks a new character palette. In multiplayer, the individual perk choices give players a reason to coordinate builds as well as attacks.
Nintendo details six Game Boy and GBA additions
Nintendo's October 26 membership update lists six classic games across two subscription levels.
Avenging Spirit, Mole Mania and Revenge of the 'Gator are listed for Game Boy – Nintendo Classics, which requires any Nintendo Switch Online membership.
Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance and Kururin Paradise are listed for Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics. That collection requires the more expensive Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
The distinction matters if you are subscribing for a particular game. The standard membership covers the three Game Boy titles, while the GBA selection needs Expansion Pack. Nintendo's post does not give a separate arrival date for each title.
Game Pass joins eligible US T-Mobile plans in November
Xbox confirmed on October 26 that Game Pass is coming to eligible T-Mobile customers through T-Mix in the United States.
Beginning in November, eligible customers can choose Game Pass Ultimate or Premium among their plan benefits. Xbox describes it as the first availability of Game Pass through a US wireless plan.
The offer is tied to eligible T-Mix plans, so it does not apply to every T-Mobile customer or establish an equivalent UK offer. Xbox directs customers to T-Mobile's announcement for eligibility and redemption details.
